DogeOS taps RedStone to provide oracle data for Dogecoin DeFi applications0

On Monday, the company announced that RedStone will supply price feeds to DogeOS starting from its testnet launch, establishing itself as the first oracle provider within the Dogecoin ecosystem through this new partnership.

This integration is anticipated to assist developers in creating decentralized financial applications for the Dogecoin community, such as lending markets, stablecoins, and perpetual futures.

Created by the team behind MyDoge, DogeOS seeks to introduce smart-contract capabilities to the Dogecoin ecosystem via an Ethereum-compatible application layer constructed using a zero-knowledge virtual machine. The network is engineered to support games, stablecoins, and DeFi protocols without altering Dogecoin’s underlying protocol.

This partnership extends RedStone’s services, which are currently deployed across more than 110 blockchain networks, to an ecosystem that the companies describe as having 10 million holders. However, this community has experienced limited access to DeFi applications due to insufficient supporting infrastructure and market data.

According to the team, RedStone’s secure and low-latency data feeds will allow DogeOS developers to price collateral, trigger liquidations, and settle trades without the need to construct their own oracle infrastructure.

RedStone provides services to over 200 clients, including Securitize, Morpho, Pendle, Spark, Ether.fi, Ethena, Lombard, Venus, and Compound. Its oracle infrastructure also backs tokenized funds such as BlackRock’s BUIDL, Apollo’s ACRED, and Hamilton Lane’s SCOPE.
