Whisper, a Web3 wallet and secure messaging platform, will present a new ecosystem centered around its flagship application during Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul. EQBR Holdings Co., the Seoul-based company behind the app, announced that its Chairman and founder, Paulus J. Lee, will deliver a keynote address at 4:40 p.m. on September 30 at Grand Walkerhill. This event takes place during the public conference days of September 30 and October 1.
Whisper Consolidates Web3 Wallet, Messaging, In-App Swaps, and a dApp Store Into a Single Application
Whisper is available for free download via the Apple App Store and Google Play, where it is listed as “Whisper MSG.” The current version features end-to-end encrypted messaging utilizing private keys; a multi-chain wallet supporting more than 10 blockchains and over 100 assets; instant token swaps compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine; a feed for project alerts and Web3 news; and a curated store for DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, and NFT dApps.
The application has been downloaded more than 1.38 million times. Users can register using a unique address instead of a phone number or email. Messages are encrypted and deleted after receipt confirmation, with the product powered by EQBR’s Equilibrium blockchain engine. Lee has stated that the app is designed specifically for everyday Web3 users.
“Most people don’t want to learn about blockchain. They want to message a friend, pay a merchant, and swap a token in one place, quickly and securely,” Lee said. “We built Whisper so those everyday actions work smoothly on-chain, without the user having to think about the chain.”
The blockchain technology underlying Whisper is protected by US Patent No. 12,586,064 B2, granted to EQBR Holdings in March 2026. The system utilizes a micro-chain architecture and a non-competitive consensus method, allowing separate services to operate independently. This design prevents heavy activity in one application from slowing others. During testing, the system achieved confirmation times of three seconds and a throughput of up to 4,500 transactions per second (TPS) on a single micro-chain.
Whisper Ecosystem Announcement Scheduled for September 30 in Seoul
“At Korea Blockchain Week, we’ll show the next step for Whisper: a new ecosystem built around the app,” Lee said. “We look forward to sharing it with the community in Seoul.”
Lee brings over 30 years of experience in games and digital content, regarded as a founding figure in the sector. He produced Tiger Woods Golf 2000 at Electronic Arts and holds a master’s degree in materials science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
The Whisper MSG app is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, with further ecosystem updates expected following Lee’s September 30 keynote at Korea Blockchain Week.
