During a CNBC interview on Monday in Abu Dhabi, the American entrepreneur expressed his long-standing passion for cryptocurrency, stating that he has been “a big fan of crypto for a long time.” He also mentioned that his father aims to “make America the crypto capital of the world” upon his return to the White House.
Eric Trump, along with his brothers Don Jr. and Barron, heads World Liberty Financial, the Trump family’s new cryptocurrency venture. This initiative is designed as a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, purportedly enabling users to borrow, lend, and invest in cryptocurrencies.

Moreover, Trump conveyed to CNBC that the current banking system is antiquated, asserting that cryptocurrencies will eventually catch up and exceed it. “And so, we’re incredibly excited on a lot of fronts,” he remarked.
“I believe America will become the crypto capital of the world. I fully endorse it. My father fully endorses it. Our family is wholeheartedly embracing it. We have faith in DeFi… We believe that’s the future. And again, America must take the lead; otherwise, we will leave much behind,” he continued.

Additionally, Trump indicated that his father’s regulatory approach for the cryptocurrency industry would be “transparent.”
“We will establish a clear road map, and hopefully the rest of the world will follow suit. Ideally, we can set an example, as that is what we should do as Americans. And hopefully, we truly become the crypto superpower of the world,” he stated.

This newly established department will evaluate the federal government’s financial status and operational effectiveness.
