The Realm of Historia initiative will ensure the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage for future generations by tokenizing the country’s historical monuments on the Solana blockchain.
This initiative, known as Realm of Historia (ROH), focuses on the digital preservation of cultural heritage, aiming to tokenize Armenia’s historical artifacts and significant physical objects.
The initial phase will involve the development of the NFT collection Realm of Historia: Carahunge X, which will feature digital replicas of the stones from Carahunge (Zorats Karer), an ancient megalithic site. These tokens will be minted on the Solana blockchain.
Referred to as “The Stonehenge of Armenia” and dated to 5487 BC by historians, this site is of great historical importance to the region, but it faces severe physical degradation. Consequently, Zorats Karer has been selected as the inaugural site for the ROH initiative.

Ivan Grantovsky, a co-founder of ROH, stated that the incorporation of blockchain technology in this project will not only safeguard Armenia’s cultural heritage but also forge a lasting connection between the past, present, and future. He noted that the choice of the Solana blockchain was deliberate, as the network is user-friendly and distinguished by its technological reliability and efficiency.
Beyond the digitization of cultural heritage items, the project also seeks to support Armenian artists and collaborate with local charities. Plans are in place to establish The Atrium, a virtual museum accessible in 3D space.
Ultimately, the founders of Realm of Historia intend to broaden the initiative beyond Armenia. Discussions regarding potential projects for the preservation of historical sites are already in progress in Malta, Italy, Cambodia, and Georgia.
Previously, a researcher from London, in collaboration with a technology expert from Abu Dhabi, developed a blockchain platform designed to verify the provenance of ancient artifacts.
