Bitcoin Price Prediction: BlackRock Cuts Bitcoin ETF Minimum by 96%

Bitcoin is trading roughly 30% below its year-start level, a decline that typically signals negative price momentum. However, BlackRock is increasing its exposure, and the rationale behind this conviction carries more weight than the headline drawdown.

The asset manager interprets Bitcoin’s slide from its October peak of $126,000 as a leverage unwind rather than a fundamental verdict on the asset.

Roughly 80% of the $90 billion in crypto futures open interest near the peak originated from unregulated perpetual contracts. When tariff shocks impacted risk assets, this positioning liquidated rapidly.

Meanwhile, spot Bitcoin exchange-traded products (ETPs) recorded their strongest weekly inflows since mid-April, totaling approximately $853 million. BlackRock’s IBIT alone attracted between $693 million and $854 million, adding over 9,000 to its holdings.

BlackRock also reduced IBIT’s in-kind conversion threshold by 96%, dropping from $25 million to $1 million. This change opens the door for significantly greater participation from accredited and institutional investors.

This move represents a notable divergence from the broader macroeconomic landscape, where Consumer Price Index (CPI) data continues to pressure risk assets. Other forecasting models remain bullish heading into 2026, raising the question of whether the market is currently pricing this optimism correctly.

Can Bitcoin Maintain $64,000 Support This Week?

BTC is consolidating within a tight range of approximately $63,200 to $65,340, with the price currently near the lower-middle of this band. Volume has increased alongside ETF inflow data, suggesting that institutional buyers are accumulating near current levels rather than chasing upward momentum.

The $63,200 to $64,000 zone has held firm as support during recent tests, while $65,300 acts as the immediate upside cap.

Sustained ETF inflows, combined with cooling CPI data, could push BTC through the $65,340 resistance level, opening a path back toward $70,000 as the asset’s decoupling from equities strengthens.

The base case involves range-bound trading between $63,000 and $65,000, where ETF demand offsets macroeconomic headwinds without decisively breaking either boundary. A hotter-than-expected inflation print or a fresh cascade of liquidations could send BTC back toward $60,000, a psychological level BlackRock has identified as a prior inflection point.

Current technical levels remain critical to monitor before committing new capital in either direction.

Bitcoin Hyper Targets Early Mover Upside as Bitcoin Tests Key Levels

A 30% year-to-date drawdown tends to sharpen the focus on where the next leg of returns will originate. Bitcoin, with a market capitalization exceeding one trillion dollars, is not structurally designed to deliver the high multiples that reward early positioning. This reality is driving traders toward infrastructure projects built directly on Bitcoin’s base layer, where upside potential is not constrained by the asset’s sheer market size.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is positioning itself as the first Bitcoin with SVM (Solana Virtual Machine) integration. It aims to deliver faster execution speeds than Solana itself while settling transactions back to Bitcoin’s base chain.

The presale has raised $33,033,002.81 to date, with tokens priced at $0.0136849 and staking rewards offering a high APY. Core features include a decentralized canonical bridge for BTC transfers and low-latency, low-cost execution, addressing the programmability gap that has kept Bitcoin largely inert as a smart contract platform.

Presale allocations carry the typical risk profile of unlaunched infrastructure tokens, making position sizing crucial.
