A16z Crypto Welcomes 21 Startups to Its Fall 2024 Crypto Accelerator Program
Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has announced the Fall 2024 cohort for its Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX) in New York, featuring 21 startups. According to a blog post from a16z CSX, the firm invests a minimum of $500,000 in each accepted company.

Starting this week, the accelerator will provide “firsthand lessons from leading crypto founders,” along with mentorship and assistance from a16z’s investment teams. The startups will have the opportunity to network with one another and the wider a16z ecosystem, as noted by Jason Rosenthal, head of a16z CSX.

“The CSX Fall 2024 companies are arriving in NYC from 11 different nations,” Rosenthal added. The cohort consists of startups such as Anera Labs, Blocksense, Banyan, Cork Protocol, Future Primitive, MeshMap, zkSpin, and others.
“They are developing solutions across all levels of the crypto stack, including AI, DeFi, infrastructure, and consumer applications like photo sharing and mapping,” Rosenthal stated on X.
A16z Next CSX to Be Held in San Francisco in 2025
Additionally, Rosenthal mentioned that this is the second CSX cohort of the year, following the completion of the Spring 2024 program in London. “In June, a16z will host the next CSX in San Francisco in Spring 2025,” he noted. Moreover, applications for the upcoming cohort will open in early January. A16z CSX will invest a minimum of $500,000 in each accepted startup.
Over the past year, outside of the CSX program, a16z has welcomed nine new crypto startups to its portfolio, which already includes prominent names like crypto exchange Coinbase and NFT marketplace OpenSea.
In a separate announcement, DeFi platform Cork Protocol confirmed its involvement in the 8-week CSX program, stating that its participation aims to accelerate its early-stage go-to-market strategy.
Furthermore, Cork Protocol announced an investment round and a testnet trading competition.
“Cork aims to enhance and expedite on-chain credit by assisting market participants in pricing and hedging risk,” it stated on X.
