Google Cloud Partners with MultiversX to Enhance Web3 Capabilities
Google Cloud has partnered with blockchain infrastructure provider MultiversX (formerly Elrond) to strengthen its Web3 presence. Google Cloud has integrated MultiversX into its platform, enabling Web3 projects and users to leverage powerful data analytics and artificial intelligence tools within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
MultiversX states that this partnership will immediately streamline the execution of large-scale, data-driven blockchain projects. According to the company, this integration will allow developers to easily access data regarding addresses, transaction volumes, smart contract interactions, and enhanced on-chain analytics.
Conversely, Google Cloud’s involvement in the MultiversX network will enable ecosystem builders to utilize advanced tools and services to enhance the performance and scalability of their decentralized applications’ (dApps) non-blockchain components. Daniel Rood, Head of Web3 EMEA at Google Cloud, stated:
“There are exciting opportunities to enable Web3 developers to build and scale faster, and as we explore new verticals within the space, our partnership with MultiversX will allow us to expand our strategy and reach further, solidifying our position as one of the main innovation drivers in the blockchain world.”
MultiversX has previously established partnerships with mainstream brands to promote Web3 use cases in the traditional sector. Both ICI D|SERVICES, the first European institutional marketplace for digital assets, and holoride, Audi’s platform for in-car virtual reality, have selected MultiversX as their preferred platform.
The blockchain infrastructure firm, which focuses on metaverse scalability, also announced a series of new scalable features for its decentralized digital asset wallet, xPortal SuperApp. These updates will facilitate easier management of both fiat currency and cryptocurrency. By the beginning of 2024, xPortal users will have access to peer-to-peer fiat payments as well as European IBANs, SEPA, and SWIFT services.
Additionally, the platform announced the launch of the xWorlds Developer Kit, which provides creators with a range of unique tools to build next-generation augmented reality experiences by leveraging xPortal as a wallet and distribution hub. The kit also includes highly realistic AI-powered 3D avatars.
