Ripple and Robinhood Join Forces in Major RLUSD and Institutional Finance Push0

Ripple has announced a strategic partnership with Vlad Tenev’s Robinhood spanning , treasury management, institutional settlement, financing, and market access.

The collaboration will put RLUSD at the center of several Robinhood businesses while further expanding Ripple’s push into mainstream financial infrastructure.

RLUSD Expands Robinhood Partnership

Ripple USD will become a key stablecoin across Robinhood’s entire digital asset ecosystem, the statement announced. RLUSD is already live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood and is expected to become available in the main app later this year. Vlad Tenev’s company will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement, extending its role across Bitstamp’s institutional business.

Additionally, Robinhood plans to integrate Ripple Treasury into its own financial operations to automate areas such as cash and liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, payments, risk management, and intercompany netting.

Ripple Prime will also have a role under the new agreement. The former Hidden Road platform already provides Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across roughly 20 digital assets, while Ripple Prime clients can trade spot markets on the exchanges.

The relationship is expected to expand later this year with Ripple Prime supporting perpetual trading on Bitstamp. Robinhood’s reported user base is over 28 million, while RLUSD has grown to more than $2.6 billion in in less than two years after launching.

“From bringing RLUSD to retail and institutional markets to helping Robinhood manage its own treasury operations, this partnership reflects growing institutional demand for integrated solutions that support both customer-facing offerings and core financial operations. And that’s exactly where Ripple delivers,” commented Ripple President, Monica Long.

Ripple Keeps Pushing

We reported just yesterday that the company expanded Ripple Treasury with new 24/7 corporate cash-management capabilities, including tools that could allow eligible businesses to generate returns on qualifying digital assets such as RLUSD outside normal banking hours.

The company behind XRP has also pushed its stablecoin deeper into traditional finance through several recent deals. Cross River Bank agreed to integrate RLUSD into its banking infrastructure, allowing eligible clients to move between dollars and the stablecoin, handle cross-border payments, and manage treasury transfers through a single API.

On the regulatory side, Ripple received final OCC approval for its national trust bank, giving the company a federally supervised platform designed to support RLUSD reserves and enterprise digital-asset custody.
