In a press release distributed to Cryptonews, WoW stated that the NFT collection reinterprets four prominent women as figures from the Western frontier, emphasizing their influence on decentralized technology.

The series is set to mint on Etherlink, a network on Tezos, as a free open edition, reinforcing WoW’s aim of enhancing the accessibility of NFTs.

Only 7% of Web3 Startups Are Led by Women, According to WoW

WoW highlighted that female founders receive merely a quarter of the funding that their male counterparts obtain, and only 7% of Web3 startups are led by women.

The series celebrates the accomplishments of pioneers such as Jill Gunter (Espresso Systems), Winny. (Chipped), Evin McMullen (Privado ID), and Tina He (Base), motivating more women to engage in Web3.

“These portraits capture more than just likeness. They narrate the stories of women who refuse to wait for permission to shape the future,” Baumann stated. “By reimagining tech leaders as frontier pioneers, we’re highlighting the courage it takes to create in environments where you are often the only woman present,” Baumann added.

Through this initiative, WoW reaffirms its dedication to bridging the gender gap in Web3 by showcasing women’s contributions despite ongoing funding obstacles.

While the NFT market no longer reflects the peak of 2021-2022, that surge resembled the brief ICO boom of 2017. The sector is now transitioning into a more sustainable phase.
