A new capability in the WisdomTree Prime digital wallet will enable Visa debit cardholders to utilize tokenized real-world assets (RWA) from the WisdomTree Government Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX) for routine transactions.
WisdomTree, a prominent provider of financial solutions, has introduced Earn-Until-You-Spend, a new feature within its crypto wallet application, WisdomTree Prime. Users will have the ability to utilize assets invested in the tokenized on-chain WTGXX fund as a payment method.
The assets will keep generating income until they are utilized. As of October 10, the fund’s weekly yield is reported at 4.6%.

Visa will serve as the payment facilitator for this initiative. Debit cardholders will be able to connect tokenized fund assets to the WisdomTree Prime app and use them for purchasing goods and services. This new feature removes the necessity to convert RWAs into fiat currency beforehand, thereby simplifying and enhancing the process.
The WisdomTree Government Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX) is a tokenized money market fund that primarily invests in highly liquid U.S. government securities, including U.S. Treasury bonds, Treasury bills, Federal Reserve deposits, and other short-term government instruments. As of September 2023, the WTGXX’s assets under management (AUM) amounted to approximately $9.3 million, increasing to $12 million in 2024.
