In April 2024, investments in blockchain gaming reached $988 million, representing the highest figure in the last three years. The daily unique active wallets (dUAW) in the GameFi sector achieved a record of 2.9 million.
As reported by DappRadar and the Blockchain Gaming Alliance (BGA), investors allocated $988 million to the blockchain gaming sector’s development in April 2024. This figure surpasses the total investments from the preceding six months combined and marks a record since January 2021.
Experts attribute the investment increase to the heightened interest from venture capital firms in the GameFi sector. The capital influx followed an announcement from a16z regarding an additional $600 million in funding for blockchain gaming enterprises. Additionally, Bitkraft Ventures, a global investment platform focused on gaming and media initiatives, secured $275 million for the sector’s advancement in April.
