Remote and Stripe have collaborated to enable U.S. businesses to compensate international contractors using the dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC.
Remote, a provider of global payroll solutions, has introduced a new feature that allows U.S. companies to pay contractors in 69 different countries directly. Payments will be processed using USDC issued on the Base L2 blockchain. Stripe, a prominent payment service provider, serves as the technical partner for this initiative.
This feature facilitates nearly instantaneous cross-border payments while ensuring adherence to both domestic and international regulations, thanks to Remote. As stated in the press release, payments made with stablecoins enhance the array of tools aimed at automating HR functions.
