The meme coin MOODENG, developed on the Solana blockchain in honor of the endangered pygmy hippopotamus Moo Deng, which has gained internet fame, experienced a 6% increase over the week following an incident at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand.
The zoo’s director, Narongwit Chodchoy, reported that in March, an individual unlawfully entered the premises and filmed the animal. The court imposed a fine of 10,000 baht (approximately $300) on the offender. Following this event, the zoo enhanced its security measures and initiated additional staff training.
