The Cosmos Leap ecosystem wallet has announced its shutdown., 2026/04/03 13:39:54

The team behind the Leap Wallet cryptocurrency wallet has announced its decision to discontinue support for the service and its associated products. All services will be disabled on May 28, and users are advised to complete the transfer of their assets before this date. Leap has not disclosed the reasons for its decision.
After May 28, all Leap products are expected to cease operations, including applications already installed on browsers or mobile devices. If users do not manage to transfer their assets by this deadline, they will still be able to regain access by importing their recovery phrase into another supported wallet, according to project representatives.
The following products will no longer be supported:
-
Leap Wallet, including the browser extension and versions for iOS and Android;
-
Compass Wallet (all versions);
-
Leap WebApp;
-
Swapfast service;
-
Leap Cosmos Hub validator;
-
Leap Cosmos Snaps.
Leap wallet owners are advised to transfer their assets to Keplr, MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, or other compatible wallets. Leap is a non-custodial wallet, meaning all assets are stored on the blockchain rather than within the project’s applications. If a user possesses a seed phrase, they can access their funds through another compatible wallet simply by using that phrase. Addresses and balances will be transferred automatically.
Those who delegated ATOM tokens to the Leap validator in Cosmos Hub must reassign them to another validator to continue earning staking rewards.
The Leap project was launched in 2022 and currently supports over 100 blockchain networks.
