Squirrel Owner Critiques Holders, Introduces New Meme Cryptocurrency $JUSTICE

The intense fallout between Peanut, the originator of the popular squirrel meme, and the community associated with the $PNUT token has turned contentious.

Mark Longo, recognized as @Squirrel_Dad12 on X, has accused the $PNUT community of capitalizing on his personal misfortune for financial gain.

YOU USED MY STORY, MY SQUIRREL AND MY LIKENESS TO GENERATE MILLIONS.
How would you feel if NO ONE included your nonprofit that made millions and then offered a FRACTION of the money you earned?
You individuals are delusional.
THIS IS MY STORY AND YOU’RE EXPLOITING IT

In retaliation, Longo introduced his own meme coin, $JUSTICE, branding it as a tribute to his late pets, Peanut the squirrel and Fred the raccoon.

This dispute arose after Longo’s pets were euthanized by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), igniting widespread outrage and elevating Peanut to a symbol of resistance against governmental overreach.

However, Longo’s new token and his threats of legal action against $PNUT have only widened the rift, with $JUSTICE achieving a $130 million while $PNUT continues to decline.

Longo’s critique of the $PNUT token focuses on his assertion that the community profited from Peanut’s narrative while disregarding his struggles.

In a now-removed X post, Longo stated:

“The $PNUT community EXPLOITED MY STORY, MY SQUIRREL, AND MY LIKENESS TO GENERATE MILLIONS.”

The $PNUT token initially gained popularity following its listing on Binance, reaching a peak before gradually losing traction.

Longo claimed that despite the token’s success, he received no substantial support from the community, even accusing them of misappropriating $50,000 in donations collected on his behalf.

In response, Longo launched $JUSTICE on the Solana blockchain, promoting it as the sole official tribute to Peanut and Fred.

The coin rapidly gained traction, achieving a $13 million market cap and increasing by 50,000% in value within minutes of its launch.

As per data from DexScreener, at the time of writing, $JUSTICE is trading at $0.1348, having surged 134k% with a $130 million market cap in the last 12 hours.

Its appeal stems from its distinct role as a protest against the exploitation of Peanut’s legacy and its commitment to transparency.

It has been marketed as having renounced ownership, and the $JUSTICE contract ownership has been surrendered to prevent rug pulls.

Moreover, Longo took additional steps to burn all liquidity pool tokens to guarantee fairness.

The website also indicated that the token operates on a tax-free model for buying and selling.

According to Longo’s promotional content, $JUSTICE aims to establish a community-driven platform to advocate for causes related to animals and individuals whose stories have been overlooked.

However, detractors contend that the launch of $JUSTICE is more about profiting from the meme coin craze surrounding Peanut’s legacy than genuine activism.

Legal and Community Fallout

The rivalry between $PNUT and $JUSTICE intensified, with Longo announcing possible legal action against $PNUT holders.

In another deleted post, Longo threatened to sue the token community for copyright infringement, pledging to “shut it down” as soon as tomorrow.

This dispute originates from Peanut and Fred’s tragic history. In October, DEC officials confiscated both animals from Longo’s residence due to violations of state regulations regarding the keeping of wild animals.

Peanut had achieved significant online fame before being euthanized after biting an officer, despite subsequently testing negative for rabies.

The public outcry over the euthanasia, amplified by Elon Musk’s remarks on X, thrust Peanut into the limelight as a symbol of governmental overreach.

The $PNUT token emerged shortly thereafter, capitalizing on the squirrel’s newfound notoriety.

While $PNUT initially flourished, the ongoing infighting threatens to further tarnish its reputation.

Longo’s allegations of exploitation and his intentions for legal action have ignited heated discussions among community members.

Some support Longo’s actions as warranted, while others accuse him of hypocrisy, citing claims that he sold donations intended to aid his cause.

It’s outrageous!
He demands exorbitant sums from people, and Mark if you are reading this, please do not deny it because that will only make it worse!
