Solo miner earned over $200,000 for Bitcoin block discovery., 2026/02/25 09:46:48

A solo miner successfully mined block #938092 in the Bitcoin network, earning a reward of 3.125 BTC (over $200,000). The miner spent approximately $75 on renting computational power, as reported by the mining firm Braiins.
The miner utilized CKPool—a service that enables individual miners to operate independently while using a pool server for job broadcasting and solution submission. Braiins noted that while mining an entire block alone is an uncommon occurrence, even investments of less than $100 in rented hash rate can yield positive results.

Over the past year, 21 miners have managed to mine Bitcoin blocks, collectively receiving 66 BTC, which amounts to $4.1 million. According to the solo miner data aggregator Bennet, this figure represents a 17% increase compared to the number of confirmed blocks in 2024.
Previously, the Singapore-based company Bitdeer, which specializes in Bitcoin mining, announced the complete liquidation of its holdings in the first cryptocurrency, without providing any reasons.
