The SOFTSWISS team, a prominent software provider in the iGaming field, has secured a one-year B2B Tobique Gaming license.

The permit was granted by the Tobique Gaming Commission (TGC) with the support of Differentia Licensing Advisory Group Limited (DLAG), which serves as a legal intermediary for licensing within the area. Specifically, DLAG performed the assessment and compliance checks of SOFTSWISS’s operations concerning:

  • credit and debit card transactions;
  • alternative payment solutions, including cryptocurrencies;
  • adherence to bank settlement services;
  • payment methods available to players.

The Tobique First Nation is an indigenous community in Canada situated on the Tobique reserve in western New Brunswick. This local community possesses its own history, culture, traditions, and governance structure. In 2023, the Gaming Act was enacted on the reserve, leading to the establishment of the TGC to issue licenses for online gaming providers.

The B2B Tobique Gaming license permits iGaming firms that provide online casinos, sports betting, or lottery services to operate internationally in the region utilizing trust and digital assets. Yuri Sharapa, Head of Country Projects at SOFTSWISS, stated that the TGC license will expand the opportunities available to the company’s partners. Graham Martin, Chairman of DLAG, also noted that SOFTSWISS was the inaugural recipient of the B2B Tobique Gaming license due to its dedication to maintaining high-quality service standards.

SOFTSWISS possesses international licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC). The company has received official permissions to operate in Nigeria, Estonia, Greece, Serbia, Ghana, and Romania and holds certificates of compliance from the regulatory authorities of Belgium, Latvia, Spain, Sweden, and Bulgaria.

Recently, SOFTSWISS acquired a controlling interest in Turfsport and obtained a license to operate in South Africa. For insights into the development of the iGaming industry and its various segments, refer to a special article by CP Media.
