Russian crypto blogger deceived by women posing as couriers., 2026/02/04 11:44:58

The Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan has charged a group of seven individuals with assaulting a Kazan-based crypto blogger and stealing cryptocurrency valued at 3.2 million rubles.
According to the investigation, the organized crime group consisted of five men from the city of Zhigulevsk (Samara region) and two women from Kazan. The five acted under the direction of an unidentified organizer, as reported by law enforcement. On July 9, 2025, the group arrived at the residence of the unnamed crypto blogger. The women posed as delivery service representatives and lured the victim out of his apartment. Once the blogger opened the door, the men forcibly entered the premises, assaulted him, and bound his hands.
Under the threat of violence, the assailants demanded the victim’s passwords for his phone and an unnamed messaging account to gain access to his cryptocurrency wallet. After obtaining the information, the attackers transferred digital assets worth over 3.2 million rubles to an undisclosed account, the prosecutor’s office reported.
Additionally, the attackers stole a pair of expensive watches valued at around 2 million rubles, 300,000 rubles in cash, and “other property.” The total damage has been assessed at 5.7 million rubles.
The Kazan news agency “Tatar-inform” reported that the victim was Aman Tyurin, the owner of the Telegram channel “Aman invests,” which has 80,000 subscribers. The blogger was bound, beaten, and tortured with a gas mask—partly to seize control of the Telegram channel, as hinted by Tyurin himself.

An investigation into the assault on the crypto blogger has led to the initiation of a criminal case for “robbery committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale” (subsections “a” and “b” of part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). As part of the investigation, property belonging to the five detained individuals has been seized, amounting to over 20 million rubles. The case has been forwarded to the Privolzhsky District Court of Kazan, where the accused face up to 15 years in prison.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kostroma region reported that a resident of Kostroma attempted to invest in digital assets, but her effort to profit from cryptocurrencies resulted in a loss of 1.1 million rubles.
