Ripple Co-Founder Chris Larsen Supports Kamala Harris in Presidential Bid: CNBC
Chris Larsen, co-founder and executive chairman of Ripple, endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for the 2024 U.S. presidential election by signing a letter with eighty-eight other corporate leaders on Friday.
Chris Larsen Signs Presidential Election Endorsement
As reported by CNBC, notable signatories of the endorsement include Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, Blackstone COO Tony James, billionaire athlete Magic Johnson, Snap chairman Michael Lynton, Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, Lazard CEO Peter Orszag, and Box CEO Aaron Levie.
A total of eighty-eight current and former high-ranking executives from various sectors of corporate America have expressed their support for Vice President Kamala Harris in a newly released letter shared exclusively with CNBC. https://t.co/ZAYQ4SCiLx pic.twitter.com/9XZ8SiGFEY

The letter reportedly asserts that electing Harris represents “the best way to uphold the ongoing strength, security, and reliability of our democracy and economy.”
Additionally, the corporate leaders contend that the former top prosecutor and current U.S. vice president would “continue to promote fair and predictable policies that uphold the rule of law, stability, and a favorable business climate.”
Mark Cuban, a billionaire and seasoned crypto investor, was also among the prominent signatories of the letter.
The “Shark Tank” personality has been openly supportive of Harris’ presidential ambitions. Recently, Cuban took to X to commend her as “pro-business” following her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month.
“Kamala Harris is not conforming to Democratic Party Policies,” Cuban posted on X last month. “Kamala Harris is establishing her own policies, and the Democratic Party is aligning with her. She is literally redefining the party.”
“She is pro-business,” Cuban added in a subsequent post. “She is an independent thinker. She is not an ideologue.”
Donald Trump Versus Kamala Harris
Currently, Harris is leading Republican nominee Donald Trump by an average of three percent in national polls. However, he holds a one-point advantage in the official election forecast on the decentralized prediction platform Polymarket.
Harris has mostly remained silent regarding her views on digital assets, although reports suggest she may adopt a more lenient policy stance on emerging currencies compared to current U.S. President Joe Biden.
In contrast, Trump is actively promoting his family’s forthcoming cryptocurrency platform, vowing to establish the U.S. as “the crypto capital of the planet.”
“We will have regulations, but moving forward, the rules will be crafted by those who support your industry, not oppose it,” Trump stated to audiences at the Bitcoin Conference 2024 in July.
Despite recent backing from business leaders, it remains uncertain whether undecided voters within the blockchain sector will support Harris.
