Polymarket Bettors Predict Funding Bill Will Not Be Approved Until November

The majority of bettors on Polymarket anticipate that Congress will not approve a spending bill until November, according to a recent survey conducted on the decentralized prediction market.

Polymarket Bettors Anticipate November Funding Bill Timeline

The survey indicates that 84% of Polymarket participants believe Congress will finalize a funding bill by November 30.

In contrast, only 30% of bettors expect a funding bill to progress through Congress by October 31.

Furthermore, merely 1% of bettors predict that an agreement will be reached by October 15, especially considering the limited timeframe.

The latest data from the Polymarket survey emerges as the U.S. government shutdown approaches its third week, following the inability of U.S. lawmakers to reach consensus on essential spending bills before the October 1 deadline.

Thousands of federal workers have already been furloughed due to the political stalemate, with Vice President JD Vance stating in a recent Fox News interview that more jobs could be at risk if Congress fails to find a resolution.

“The longer this continues, the more severe the cuts will be,” Vance remarked. “To be clear, some of these reductions will be difficult.”

During a Cabinet meeting at the White House last Thursday, Trump pledged to eliminate “only” Democratic programs in response to the shutdown.

“They wanted to do this,” Trump stated, adding that they will “experience a little taste of their own medicine.”

Trump Under Scrutiny For Crypto Connections

Trump, who primarily based his 2024 campaign on appeals to the blockchain industry, has consistently advocated for reducing enforcement actions against the digital asset sector.

Nevertheless, critics contend that his activities in the crypto domain could raise ethical issues while he occupies the Oval Office.

“If Congress is going to endorse a comprehensive crypto regulatory framework, it is essential to eliminate the president’s crypto corruption,” Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) remarked during a hearing earlier this year.
