Obamas Producing New Netflix Series About FTX Scandal

“Killing Satoshi” marks the second blockchain-related film and television project to gain attention this year.

In May, streaming powerhouse Netflix announced it had approved an eight-episode limited series titled “The Altruists,” which focuses on the FTX scandal.

According to Netflix, the series will depict “two exceptionally intelligent, ambitious young idealists who attempted to transform the global financial system in an instant” prior to the crypto exchange’s $8 billion downfall.

Produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, “The Altruists” features Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle as former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, respectively.
