PayPal has revealed the incorporation of its stablecoin PayPal USD (PYUSD) into the Stable blockchain, with the goal of enhancing the asset’s liquidity and broadening its use in commerce and international payments.
PayPal Ventures, the investment division of the payment leader, announced strategic investments as part of Stable’s recent funding round, which is a Layer 1 blockchain network specifically tailored for stablecoins, along with the integration of PayPal USD (PYUSD) into this network.
David Weber, Head of the PYUSD ecosystem at PayPal, stated that the company intends to enhance the stablecoin’s functionality across various blockchain ecosystems and create new practical applications. The integration with the Stable blockchain will enable users to employ the digital asset more extensively for payments and financial transactions.

The integration utilizes LayerZero solutions and features cross-chain compatibility, in addition to the creation of on-ramp and off-ramp services for PYUSD. This strategy, Weber pointed out, will streamline commerce payments and enhance the stablecoin’s availability for international transfers.
Sam Kazemian, CTO of Stable, noted that collaborating with PayPal will expedite the adoption of stablecoins within the global financial system. He also underscored that PayPal’s vast experience in delivering swift and dependable peer-to-peer payments globally will provide a solid foundation for Stable to achieve new advancements in cross-border transactions.
Recently, PayPal launched an expanded version of PYUSD, granting access to blockchains such as Abstract, Aptos, Avalanche, Ink, Sei, Stable, TRON, as well as Berachain and Flow.
