The Moscow Exchange has announced that it will initiate the calculation and publication of indices for an additional eight cryptocurrencies on April 23. The cryptocurrencies included are Solana, DOGE, TRON, Hyperliquid, Ripple, Cardano, BNB, and Chainlink.

According to the exchange’s statement, the cryptocurrency indices will be derived from the prices of the respective assets on leading cryptocurrency exchanges. Additionally, quotes from foreign cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds will be utilized in the calculations, enhancing the accuracy of market price representation. A similar methodology is already in use for the indices of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

In the future, these new indices may serve as underlying assets for various financial instruments, primarily futures, similar to the existing products based on Bitcoin and Ethereum, as noted by exchange representatives.

The Moscow Exchange began calculating cryptocurrency indices in the summer of 2025 after the Central Bank of Russia permitted the offering of derivatives linked to cryptocurrency values to qualified investors without the actual delivery of the asset. Currently, investors have access to futures on exchange-traded funds tracking Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as futures on the indices of these cryptocurrencies.

By summer, the exchange plans to launch futures trading for four more cryptocurrencies, along with perpetual contracts. The commencement of operations involving the cryptocurrencies themselves on the Moscow Exchange is scheduled for early 2027.
