Mastercard Launches NFT UEFA Champions League Trivia Game

The payments leader Mastercard has unveiled its Web3-based trivia contest aimed at football enthusiasts. It rewards participants for their knowledge of the UEFA Champions League and “will crown football’s top trivia expert,” according to the announcement.

This trivia game will be part of a new initiative named pass to priceless, which “integrates Mastercard’s Web3 assets into a cohesive platform.”

Through this platform, players can acquire Mastercard X UEFA Champions League-themed digital passes, which are issued as NFTs.

This provides them with the opportunity to win tickets to the Final at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The real-time football-themed quiz will be available throughout the UEFA tournament for Mastercard cardholders in France, Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the USA, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina.

Each quiz will commence 30 minutes prior to each UEFA Champions League round of Tuesday matches, starting on February 13 and concluding on June 1.

Participants will respond to questions ranging from the highest-scoring game to the year of the inaugural Group Stage.

Winners of each round will receive UEFA Champions League match tickets, allowing them to ascend the leaderboard.

The individual leading the leaderboard after the semi-final on April 30 will secure the grand prize of tickets to the final at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Kresus Wallet Joins Sotheby’s Metaverse for NFT Management in One Place

The auction house Sotheby’s Metaverse has incorporated the Web3 application Kresus as a supported digital wallet option. According to the announcement, collectors can now purchase and store digital artworks via the app.

The inclusion of Kresus “provides the simplest method for storing digital art for both newcomers to the digital art scene and seasoned NFT collectors seeking a comprehensive mobile-first Web3 wallet,” the press release stated.

It further noted that Kresus features unique technology: the app enables users to recover assets even if they lose access to their email, which it describes as “’goof-proof’ security.”

This tool, combined with complete user control, is essential for Sotheby’s ecosystem to offer digital collectors a secure vault for their high-value NFTs, according to Kresus.

Additionally, Sotheby’s announced it will conduct a Sealed Auction of Ether Rock from February 14 to 21.
