Solo Miner Strikes Bitcoin Block 973413, Earning Nearly $251,000

An unknown solo miner successfully mined Bitcoin block #973413. The reward amounted to 3.1397 BTC (approximately $252,000), according to CKPool developer Con Kolivas.
This marks the 318th block mined by solo operators using CKPool infrastructure, the pool team confirmed. The identity of the equipment owner and the specific models used remain undisclosed. Of the total reward, 3.125 BTC was the block subsidy, while 0.0147 BTC came from transaction fees included in the block.
Kolivas highlighted the extremely low probability of this success. He estimated that a miner with a hashrate of approximately 16.4 TH/s had less than a 1 in 3,400 chance of finding a block independently within a year.
CKPool attracts owners of relatively low-power equipment to mine Bitcoin without distributing rewards among all connected miners. Unlike other pools where participants share income proportionally to their hashrate, here the reward goes entirely to whoever finds the block, minus the service fee.
Previously, a solo miner with a hashrate of approximately 6 TH/s mined Bitcoin block #924569. Their reward was 3.146 BTC, or about $266,000.
