According to the researchers, employees within the virtual realm will be depicted by digital twins, referred to as “Metahumans.” Furthermore, employees will have both visual and qualitative representations in the virtual environment — their emotions, cognitive statuses, and physical health will be digitized through facial expression scanning and other metrics.

A manager will be capable of analyzing these attributes in real-time and quickly accessing the overall statistics of a particular “MetaHuman.” Advancements in the Metaverse will facilitate the utilization of digitized psychophysiological states of employees to enhance and oversee HR processes, resembling a video game experience.
Additionally, industrial Metaverse projects will allow for the observation and management of the working environment, productivity, adherence to schedules, and other metrics of individual employee efficiency, including subjective aspects such as mood, health, and stress levels.
The researchers assert that implementing such systems will enable managers to significantly boost the effectiveness of operational and HR processes. Moreover, the data gathered can be utilized to create simulations and algorithms for industrial modeling.
