Hamster Kombat to Distribute 60% of Tokens to Players in Its ‘Largest Airdrop in Cryptocurrency History’
In what may become one of the most significant token airdrops in recent times, the team behind the Telegram-based tap-to-earn game Hamster Kombat has unveiled a new whitepaper, offering comprehensive insights into the project’s tokenomics and future initiatives.
The Hamster Kombat team stated in the newly released whitepaper that 60% of its token airdrop will be allocated to players and that they are “actively working on making the airdrop happen,” which was initially scheduled for this month.
Hamster Kombat Plans Historic Airdrop with 60% of Tokens for Players; Launch Delayed
Dear CEOs,
We are pleased to announce that we’ve updated the roadmap on our website and published our Whitepaper that highlights the plans we have for the Hamster Ecosystem.

The game’s development team shared this update in a new whitepaper released on Tuesday, outlining plans for the distribution of the forthcoming token launch on The Open Network (TON).
Initially set for July, the launch has encountered delays, with recent updates on Monday indicating that the airdrop is still in the planning phase.
The whitepaper asserts that Hamster Kombat will execute the “largest airdrop in the history of crypto,” claiming a user base of 300 million.
As per the document, 60% of the upcoming token airdrop will be “dedicated” to players. “The remainder is allocated for ensuring market liquidity, ecosystem partnerships and grants, rewarding squads, and other purposes,” the whitepaper notes.
Importantly, Hamster Kombat’s developers highlighted that the project is not financed by investment firms or venture capitalists, thereby mitigating potential “sell pressure.”
The team claims that Hamster Kombat is already a “profitable business” and has “no need to liquidate team token allocations to cover expenses.”
While the whitepaper does not provide a specific launch date for the HMSTR token, it outlines details regarding the token supply distribution. Unlike Notcoin, Hamster Kombat’s team will not release all tokens simultaneously nor make them all available to players.
The team describes the airdrop as the “first step in developing the Hamster ecosystem, which will extend well beyond the current game.” The developers disclosed that the game has 50 million daily active users across 190 nations.
Hamster Kombat Surges with 300M Players, Drawing Inspiration from Notcoin’s Success
Hamster Kombat has rapidly emerged as a notable name in the crypto landscape.
The anonymous founders have cultivated a large community of gamers who earn token rewards by participating in the clicker game, which operates on The Open Network (TON) blockchain. While there are inquiries regarding the ratio of bots among its users, the game has undeniably attracted considerable attention.
The game’s ascent can be partially credited to the success of another Telegram-based clicker game, Notcoin, which airdropped over 80 billion NOT tokens valued at approximately $1 billion in May. Hamster Kombat’s founders have indicated that Notcoin’s achievements inspired their game.
In addition to the airdrop, Hamster Kombat’s team announced intentions to broaden the project by onboarding additional developers through grants and launching new features such as “squads” to promote player collaboration and “time-limited events” with exclusive rewards.
Moreover, a “Season 2” campaign featuring additional crypto rewards is in development.
The Telegram-based tap-to-earn game also reported on Tuesday that it has attracted 300 million players to date. This number accounts for nearly one-third of the 950 million active users on the popular messaging platform, according to a recent announcement.
Hamster Kombat has witnessed substantial growth in recent weeks. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov disclosed on July 5 that the game had drawn in 239 million players by that date, and shortly thereafter, the game’s team reported a total of 250 million players.
