Based on on-chain analytics, 23 out of the 50 tokens that took part in airdrops since 2020 achieved their all-time highs (ATH) within the initial two weeks following the conclusion of the giveaway.
Analysts from CoinGecko discovered that approximately 46% of the tokens involved in significant airdrops over the past three years reached their ATH within 14 days of the giveaway.
Out of the 50 tokens analyzed, 23 attained their peak value within two weeks of the airdrops, specifically:
- seven tokens hit their peak on the day of the airdrop (Jupiter, ParaSwap, and CowSwap);
- ten coins saw price increases during the first week (Ethereum Name Service, X2Y2, Blur, Jito, Wen, and Sweat);
- the prices of six tokens peaked within two weeks (LooksRare, ArbDoge AI, Manta Network, and Heroes of Mavia).

Furthermore, analysts observed that tokens that experienced rapid price increases often failed to maintain their positions for an extended period, with most experiencing a swift decline in value. Conversely, some larger projects took over a year to reach the peak value of their native tokens, yet community interest remained strong. For instance, Optimism (OP) achieved its historical maximum only one year and seven months after the airdrop.
The most profitable tokens that users could acquire during airdrops since 2020 included:
- Bonk (BONK) surged 28,092% over 51 weeks;
- The Graph (GRT) increased by 1,839% in 9 weeks;
- Uniswap (UNI) rose 1,145% over 33 weeks.
