In conjunction with the launch of Flipster’s (previously AQX) new name, the company has announced an additional 1,500,000 USD in bonus rewards aimed at attracting new users to join and trade on their platform. Until the full distribution of these rewards is completed, the futures exchange will conduct at least one promotional campaign each week to motivate new users to register and engage in derivatives trading on Flipster. Under its former name, the exchange has already provided over 400,000 USDT in bonuses through prior campaigns.
The inaugural promotion in this series commenced on July 17, 2023, and will last for seven days. A total of 110,000 USDT in bonuses has been designated for this initiative. New users will receive 10,000 USDT upon completing identity verification, along with a 10 USDT bonus. The remaining 100,000 USDT is intended to incentivize and reward high-volume traders who utilize the platform. The trader with the highest volume will receive a bonus of 10,000 USDT at the conclusion of the weekly campaign.
Flipster has transformed futures trading by adopting a mobile-first strategy to cater to casual crypto traders who may have limited experience with derivatives trading (or, as they refer to it, Flipping).
This approach focuses on specializing in derivatives trading, simplifying the app experience to facilitate quicker learning and ease of use. Novice traders can open, close, and monitor their positions from any location, potentially allowing some users to earn more on their commute than from their daily work. In addition to user-friendliness, the mobile experience makes trading enjoyable and less akin to a technical chore.
The shift to a mobile-first model followed an initial web experience that resembled those of other futures exchanges. The conventional user interface for futures trading presents a steep learning curve and is significantly more technical, which starkly contrasts with the interfaces that most modern app users have grown accustomed to. Data indicated that newcomers to derivatives were not drawn to this experience, as it was designed for seasoned traders. The Flipster team identified several alternative user interfaces for futures trading, but none had been effectively developed to onboard new users to crypto futures trading on a large scale.

While prioritizing simplicity, Flipster also includes features that will engage experienced traders. The exchange frequently introduces new perpetual swap contracts, and as of today, over 120 assets can be traded with leverage, positioning Flipster as a competitive option for traders. Among these assets are tokens that are not available for futures on other exchanges, including some with limited visibility in spot markets.
