Immutable, a company focused on blockchain gaming, has teamed up with Transak, a prominent payment provider in the Web3 sector. This partnership will enhance the application of fiat currency for in-game transactions within GameFi initiatives.

The Transak service will be integrated into Immutable Checkout, a customizable platform for incorporating various payment methods in games, as well as Immutable Passport, a solution designed for the automatic authentication of gamers and the creation of wallets for storing in-game assets.

Harshit Gangwar, Marketing Head of Transak, stated that the service will not only facilitate the use of fiat for in-game transactions but will also enable quick and cost-effective digital asset transfers. Specifically, the Transak service will facilitate the conversion of cryptocurrencies to fiat and vice versa, allowing gamers to buy NFTs using credit and debit cards through Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Michael Powell, Head of Product Marketing at Immutable, mentioned that Transak will be integrated into the company’s three main Web3 games — Guild of Guardians, Gods Unchained, and Cross The Ages — during the initial phase of the partnership. This collaboration with Transak will also empower blockchain gaming developers to tailor pricing in their projects, while players will have access to over 160 fiat currencies and approximately 170 different cryptocurrencies across 75 blockchain networks for purchasing in-game items.

It is important to highlight that the progress of Immutable is positively influencing the value of the IMX native token, which has seen significant growth over the past two months. As reported by CoinGecko, IMX reached $2, marking its highest price this year, driven by favorable news.

Analysts anticipate substantial growth in the GameFi sector over the next six years, with its market volume potentially reaching $615 billion by 2030.
