Aevi, a provider of personalized payment services, has announced its partnership with Legi.one, an innovative platform dedicated to delivering payment services and business solutions. Initially, the two companies aim to roll out a solution for cashless transactions through payment terminals tailored for SMEs.

Looking ahead, both firms plan to broaden their footprint in the e-commerce arena, equipping SMEs with tools for managing transactions in both brick-and-mortar stores and online environments. Additionally, they intend to grant SMEs access to payment technologies that were originally designed for larger enterprises, including advance payment options.

The primary objective of this partnership is to empower smaller merchants to deliver a service level that rivals that of the largest market participants, thereby boosting their competitiveness and reinforcing their standing in the e-commerce landscape.

Aevi offers cross-border payment services within the e-commerce sector and supports over 260,000 merchants, handling more than 3 billion transactions. Legi.one is a prominent local provider of payment services for businesses, managing roughly half of all commercial payments in the Czech Republic.

Recently, SMEs in Switzerland have gained the ability to attract investments and enhance liquidity by tokenizing their shares on the Ethereum blockchain and subsequently listing these digital assets on a local cryptocurrency exchange. In Germany, during 2023, SME loans were tokenized, providing token holders with monthly returns.
