“This case involves X Corp exercising its substantial monopoly power with a perceived shield from legal action to deplatform users,” the complaint states, noting that the company aimed to “restrict competition” in the race to deploy AI agents on its platform.

Eliza Labs is recognized for elizaOS, an open-source protocol for autonomous AI agents, which is reportedly valued at $2.5 billion.

In April, the company launched a no-code AI launchpad designed to democratize agent development for individuals without programming skills.

The lawsuit further alleges that X orchestrated a “coordinated, fraudulent, and anti-competitive initiative” to gain access to Eliza’s development techniques and exploit them for its own products. X has not yet publicly addressed the allegations.
