The alleged incident took place on October 24 during a meeting between the accused partner and a woman named Hana, who had met with him for a professional conversation.
According to Hana’s account, while she briefly stepped away to the restroom, bar staff noticed the partner placing something into her drink.
Upon her return, when she tried to switch her drink, he reportedly hindered her attempts, prompting her to leave. Hana later reported feeling lightheaded, which heightened her suspicion that her drink had been compromised.

In a troubling detail shared by Hana, she alleged that the partner attempted to entice her to his residence, suggesting he would escort her to a taxi while subtly proposing that she accompany him to a suite.
Hana mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) that he further insinuated she would not require a direct role in a cryptocurrency initiative.

In light of the incident, Hana sought help from local authorities, who reportedly provided CCTV footage of the alleged drink tampering.
Hana noted that she observed a level of assurance in the partner’s demeanor that indicated it might not have been his first such incident.
She shared her experience and supporting evidence online, urging others to come forward.

Another user on X, ‘Iris,’ claimed to have encountered similar tactics from the same individual, describing his approach as “really aggressive.”
The repercussions for Ng extended beyond DWF Labs. His X account was quickly set to private and subsequently deleted, and his LinkedIn profile was also removed.
Ng has an extensive background in finance; prior to his role at DWF Labs, he worked at Barclays, Citi, and Deutsche Bank, eventually becoming a crypto industry advisor and founder of the real-world asset firm OpenEden, with previous experience as the head of business development in Asia at Gemini.
DWF Labs is distancing itself from the incident as the investigation proceeds, and public interest and scrutiny surrounding the case remain elevated.
