Deutsche Bank Backs Cryptocurrency Operations in Asia-Pacific Region
Deutsche Bank will offer corporate banking services for Crypto.com in Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong, along with additional commitments for further banking assistance.
Crypto.com has revealed a collaboration with Deutsche Bank, which will manage the cryptocurrency exchange’s corporate financial activities in the Asia-Pacific area. The initial focus of this partnership will be on the markets of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia, with the potential for expansion into other nations in the region.
On social media, Crypto.com suggested the possibility of broadening this partnership to include European markets and the U.K. in the future.
Deutsche Bank, the largest financial institution in Germany, provides traditional banking services alongside digital asset custody, fiat-to-crypto exchange, and cross-border trading services for cryptocurrency enterprises.
The press release indicates that the collaboration with a prominent financial services provider guarantees smooth corporate banking operations for Crypto.com, improves process efficiency, and bolsters its standing in the Asia-Pacific region. This partnership also underscores Crypto.com’s dedication to maintaining high-security standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Earlier in 2024, Deutsche Bank became a participant in Project Guardian to explore open digital distributed ledger technology (DLT) architecture for asset tokenization in regulated financial markets and to aid in establishing standards for real-world asset (RWA) protocols. The bank also facilitated instant inbound and outbound payments using digital assets through international bank accounts (IBAN) for residents of Germany.
