Crypto Super PAC Fairshake Distributes $12 Million to Bernie Moreno’s Ohio Senate Campaign
Fairshake has declared its intention to invest $12 million in advertising for Ohio Senate candidate Bernie Moreno (R-OH) with the aim of unseating current Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in the lead-up to the 2024 elections, as revealed by the crypto super PAC on Tuesday.

Alongside the $12 million for Ohio, the crypto PAC will dedicate $3 million each in Arizona and Michigan to assist Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Rep. Elisa Slotkin (D-MI).
The substantial financial contributions will primarily be directed towards television advertising, although plans also include “digital targeting aimed at crypto users and key voter demographics to enhance turnout.”

“Our objective is straightforward — to support candidates who embrace innovation, aim to safeguard American jobs, and are dedicated to bipartisan cooperation to achieve results while opposing those who do not,” stated Fairshake spokesperson Josh Vlasto. “We take pride in the advancements we have made toward establishing a sustainable bipartisan coalition and a shared understanding of the urgent necessity for responsible crypto and blockchain-focused regulations that foster innovation, protect American jobs, and eliminate bad actors. We will persist in implementing this strategy through November and beyond.”
Backing Crypto Candidates in the 2024 Elections
Established by several prominent figures in the crypto sector last year, Fairshake advocates for “candidates dedicated to ensuring the United States remains a hub for innovators developing the next generation of the internet” while promoting “a more defined regulatory and legal framework” for the blockchain industry as a whole.
With over $200 million raised in preparation for the November 2024 elections, the crypto collective stands as the largest super PAC by total funds collected.
The announcement of Fairshake’s recent contributions follows closely on the heels of its declaration of a $25 million television advertising initiative for more than a dozen crypto-friendly House of Representatives candidates.

The organization has achieved success in removing anti-crypto political figures, most recently conducting a $2 million advertising campaign against the now defeated Rep. Jamaal Bowman.
“Jamaal Bowman opposed establishing clear regulations for the crypto and blockchain sector, and tonight he’s seeking new employment,” Vlasto remarked in a statement at that time. “The crypto and blockchain community will continue to support candidates who advocate for innovation and job creation and who are willing to collaborate across party lines to achieve results.”
Fairshake’s recent financial contributions provide insight into their developing strategy for promoting blockchain-friendly legislation. Moving forward, the organization will maintain its adaptability and focus on key races as the 2024 election cycle unfolds.
