Crypto.com Enhances Its European Footprint by Securing Registration in the Netherlands

The well-known cryptocurrency exchange – Crypto.com – has obtained regulatory approval from the central bank of the Netherlands to register as a provider of digital asset services.

The firm had previously acquired various forms of authorization from several other European countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and others.

• Crypto.com stated that it has adhered to the Netherlands’ Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act to receive approval from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).
• CEO Kris Marszalek mentioned that working alongside regulatory bodies to advance the cryptocurrency industry is of “paramount importance” to the company.

“This registration approval from De Nederlandsche Bank is a significant milestone for our business and the latest testament to our commitment to compliance. We look forward to continuing to work with DNB and other regulators around the world,” he added.

• Crypto.com has recently secured multiple authorizations globally. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) permitted it to provide cross-border and domestic money transfer services, while the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued it an MVP Preparatory Licence.
• Australia, Canada, and South Korea are additional countries where the exchange has gained regulatory approval over the years.
• The company has also been actively expanding in Europe, receiving authorization to offer services in France, the UK, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and Spain.
