Cristiano Ronaldo Undergoes Lie Detector Examination for Binance, Provoking Varied Responses from Community

Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has undergone a lie detector examination for Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange globally, an endeavor he described as one of his most challenging experiences.

The lie detector examination elicited varied responses and speculation within the crypto community regarding Binance’s intentions behind involving the soccer superstar in such an activity.

Ronaldo’s Collaboration With Binance

Ronaldo’s lie detector challenge occurs just two months after he unveiled his second non-fungible token (NFT) collection titled “Forever CR7: The GOAT” on Binance.

The two parties established an exclusive multi-year collaboration in June 2022 to develop NFT collections aimed at drawing Ronaldo’s fans into the Web3 environment. As one of the most celebrated players in soccer history, Ronaldo boasts five Ballon d’Or awards, 850 career goals, and millions of followers on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

Following his endorsement last June, Ronaldo released his inaugural NFT collection named “CR7” in November, which included seven animated statues across four rarity tiers.

The latest collection showcases Ronaldo’s goal-scoring highlights from his career, featuring the iconic bicycle kick goal against Juventus in 2018. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) disclosed that holders of the rarest NFTs from the new collection might have the opportunity to meet and train with the soccer star in person, with the exchange covering travel and accommodation expenses.

The Lie Detector Examination

During the lie detector examination, the interrogators posed several challenging questions to Ronaldo, requiring a simple yes or no response. Among the inquiries were questions about his NFT ownership. Ronaldo revealed that he possesses digital collectibles and plans to create additional ones in the future. This suggests that the soccer star may introduce more NFT collections on Binance over time.

When asked if the bicycle kick was his greatest goal ever, Ronaldo answered affirmatively, but the lie detector indicated it was a falsehood. This prompted Ronaldo to reaffirm his belief that the goal was indeed his best and to clarify that other goals might be categorized as the “most difficult” or “most beautiful.”

Concerning his soccer career, Ronaldo responded “yes” to a question about playing at the highest level in his 40s, and the machine validated his response.
