Crypto exchange CoinEx, which experienced a security breach earlier this month, has declared that it will be reinstating deposits and withdrawals for its users on September 21st. The platform has indicated its plan to complete the reconstruction and implementation of its wallet system during this period.
As per the official announcement, the exchange will recommence wallet operations for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT), USDC, Tron (TRX), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Binance Coin (BNB).
- On September 21, CoinEx will perform an upgrade to the deposit addresses for the cryptocurrency assets. This upgrade will involve generating new deposit addresses for all users.
- CoinEx strongly recommends that users refrain from using any previously saved old deposit addresses, as these will no longer be operational, and any funds sent to them will be permanently lost.
- The platform also cautioned users to ensure they are utilizing the newly issued address prior to making any deposits.
- The exchange has indicated that a significant backlog of withdrawal requests is anticipated in the coming days, which may result in longer processing times than usual for all withdrawal requests.
