Stablecoin provider Circle and the South Korean NFT-centric metaverse ‘Overdare’ are collaborating to enable game developers to create in-game wallets within the platform.

This partnership will also allow game developers to facilitate direct payouts on the platform, according to a Monday announcement.

Created by Krafton, the studio known for PUBG, Overdare is a create-to-earn metaverse game set for a worldwide launch in the latter half of 2024.

The alliance with Circle goes beyond just in-game wallet capabilities. Overdare intends to revolutionize intellectual property (IP) and revenue management for creators by utilizing Circle’s Programmable Wallets. This integration will support IP trading and enable direct payouts in USDC, providing creators with opportunities to explore new income avenues.

“We believe this partnership will be a catalyst in shaping the future of digital entertainment, ultimately fostering an innovative Web3 environment for all,” stated Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire.

We are excited to announce our strategic partnership with OVERDARE to revolutionize the mobile gaming world.

Overdare’s Fusion of Unreal Engine 5 and NFT Monetization

Inspired by the gaming platform Roblox, Overdare employs Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 to provide AI-driven creation tools. This enables players to assume the role of game designers within the metaverse, crafting their own distinctive experiences.

In addition to in-game creation, Overdare adopts a “Create-to-Earn” model, allowing players to monetize their creativity. By creating valuable digital assets, players can convert them into NFTs, facilitating trading on the game’s virtual marketplace.

The platform also features live chat capabilities and customizable avatars, fostering a sense of individuality among users.

Overdare Studio Equips Creators to Build the Metaverse

Overdare utilizes its proprietary blockchain, Settlus, to manage transactions within the game. This custom network was developed using the Cosmos Software Development Kit (SDK).

The integration of Settlus extends beyond enabling seamless transactions. It simplifies the licensing process for interactive content, allowing creators to unlock monetization possibilities on the blockchain.

Initial glimpses of the game reveal a vast virtual environment, where players can utilize AI tools to design complex games and contribute to the ecosystem.

Overdare also intends to empower creators with an “Overdare Studio.” This dedicated suite is equipped with tools aimed at personalizing and crafting immersive gaming experiences within the platform.

Circle recently announced the cessation of USDC support on the TRON blockchain, citing concerns identified within its risk management framework. This decision follows ongoing issues related to TRON, including allegations of money laundering within its ecosystem.
