Bybit Introduces Shariah-Compliant Cryptocurrency Account for Muslim Investors

In light of the increasing interest in Islamic finance options, Bybit introduced its Islamic Account on September 24, 2024, providing Shariah-compliant cryptocurrency trading for Muslim traders worldwide.

This latest initiative from Bybit features spot trading for 75 carefully chosen cryptocurrencies, in addition to trading bots like DCA and Spot Grid Bot.

New Crypto Account Aimed at the Muslim Community

Bybit’s Islamic Account has received certification from ZICO Shariah and CryptoHalal, confirming that all trading products adhere to Islamic finance principles and Shariah law.

Muslim traders can now utilize a crypto account that is fully compatible with their religious principles, available globally except in areas with legal limitations.

The announcement indicated that Bybit’s launch of the Islamic Account would meet a rising demand within the $2.3 trillion Islamic finance industry, providing Shariah-compliant cryptocurrency trading options tailored to the financial requirements of Muslim traders around the globe.

“We are excited to launch our Islamic Account, which marks a significant achievement in our dedication to offering inclusive and accessible trading solutions,” stated Bybit Sales & Marketing Director Joan Han.

“Through our collaboration with Crypto Halal and ZICO Holdings, we have guaranteed that our offerings are in line with the tenets of Islamic finance, enabling Muslim traders to engage in the expanding cryptocurrency market,” Han added.

Bybit Obtains Provisional Approval from VARA

Bybit has recently secured provisional approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), bringing it closer to obtaining a full Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license.

This advancement will allow the exchange to provide its services to a broader range of investors in the region once fully operational.

Bybit established its global headquarters in Dubai in 2022 and has been striving to enhance its presence in the city’s expanding cryptocurrency sector.
