Bybit Introduces Crypto Card for Global Users
Crypto exchange Bybit is launching a physical crypto card powered by the Mastercard payment network, aimed at facilitating the use of digital assets for everyday and international transactions.
Bybit Limited announced the introduction of the Bybit Physical Card, in collaboration with S1LKPAY. The issuance of this payment tool is authorized by the Astana International Financial Centre’s (AIFC) Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA).
The Bybit Physical Card is designed for international users, allowing them to utilize cryptocurrency globally wherever Mastercard is accepted. According to the press release, the card will be particularly advantageous for travelers and individuals making cross-border payments.
Some of the card’s features include:
- compatibility with Samsung Pay and Google Pay;
- no hidden charges or ongoing fees;
- 10% cashback (up to $300) on initial purchases;
- 2% cashback in USDT and AVAX;
- up to 8% annual percentage rate (APR) on earnings programs.
To obtain the Bybit Physical Card, users must first register for a digital Bybit card before applying for the physical version. The issuance fee is $29.99, with delivery taking approximately 5 business days, depending on the recipient’s location. VIP users benefit from free issuance and delivery.
The ease of using cryptocurrency for international transactions and travel payments was emphasized by CoinsPaid CEO Max Krupyshev during the Purpose Driven FinTech podcast. “Cross-border crypto payments are significantly more convenient than even modern FinTech solutions. USDT has no weight, no expiration date. Meanwhile, a substantial portion of global trade relies on the U.S. dollar.”
In December 2024, Bybit initiated pre-registration for its new physical Mastercard crypto card for users in Brazil.
