In collaboration with Diamond Fingers, a prominent Bitcoin consultancy in Japan, and Fulgur Ventures, a significant investor in Bitcoin-centric companies, Blockstream stated its aim to promote the adoption of Bitcoin layer-2 technologies, self-custody solutions, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization in one of the most technologically advanced economies globally.

Enhancing Bitcoin’s Presence in Japan

The timing of Blockstream’s expansion coincides with significant trends influencing Bitcoin’s trajectory in Japan. For example, there has been a notable increase in institutional interest.

The approval of Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. has spurred global demand for Bitcoin, including in Japan.

Japanese firms such as Metaplanet, Inc. have been investing in Bitcoin, and Blockstream expressed its readiness to assist companies aiming to incorporate Bitcoin into their treasury strategies, payment systems, and custody solutions.
