In South Korea, a 30-year-old man is accused of attempting to poison his business partner; investigators allege that the suspect added pesticide to his companion’s coffee. The motive is linked to significant losses in cryptocurrency investments.

The incident took place in Seoul. Authorities believe that during a business meeting, the suspect introduced methomyl into his business partner’s cup. After consuming the coffee, the victim lost consciousness and collapsed. He was taken to a hospital, where he remained in a coma for three days. The man is currently undergoing treatment.

According to the investigation, since 2022, the two men had been running a joint business, managing investment programs that involved investing in Bitcoin.
