4,000 ETH ($7.5M) Affected by Recent DeFi Security Breach
It seems that the DeFi sector remains a significant target for cybercriminals.
On the morning of May 28th, another breach occurred, this time affecting the liquidity platform Jimbos Protocol.
- Jimbos Protocol was compromised today – May 28th.
- As reported by PeckShield, the breach led to a loss of approximately 4,000 ETH, valued at around $7.5 million at the time of the event.
- According to PeckShield:
This breach is attributed to the absence of slippage control in the liquidity-shifting process – causing the protocol-owned liquidity to be allocated into a skewed or imbalanced price range, which is then exploited during reverse swaps for profit.
- The team has already responded to the situation and is reportedly working to investigate and reach out to the exploiter.
