1inch Introduces Web3 RPC API Solution to Enhance Blockchain Accessibility for Developers
Decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator, 1inch Labs has introduced the 1inch Developer Portal, which is now accessible to Web3 developers.
During EthCC 7 in Brussels, 1inch Labs revealed that through the Web3 RPC API, it will provide Web3 developers with a more effective RPC blockchain interaction, eliminating the necessity to operate their own node, according to 1inch.
RPC refers to Remote Procedure Calls and APIs denote Application Programming Interfaces. The RPC API serves as the interface for external applications, enabling them to communicate with Ethereum.
Entities such as Polygon, Metamask, BNB Chain, Crypto.com, Trust Wallet, Chainlink, Coinbase, and Binance Lab are among the partners, stakeholders, and clients utilizing the 1inch network.
Projects Seeking RPC Services Previously Looked Elsewhere
Prior to this launch, projects utilizing 1inch APIs had to seek RPC services from other sources, the company stated. With this new tool, developers can engage with the blockchain without exiting the 1inch ecosystem.
1inch clarifies that nearly every action initiated by a wallet, dApp, or any other Web3 initiative necessitates interaction with the blockchain. This interaction can involve working with smart contracts, transferring assets, retrieving blockchain information, and more.
Nodes manage the interaction with the blockchain. Therefore, when a project needs to either set up its own node or connect to a node operated by another party, it utilizes a remote procedure call (RPC). RPCs enable interaction with various Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains.
What Functionality Does the Web3 RPC API Provide?
The Web3 RPC API will offer Web3 developers a more efficient RPC blockchain interaction.
“Leveraging our extensive experience with nodes and the continuous need for dependable node access for 1inch operations, we can ensure that our RPC service for Web3 developers is both secure and reliable,” stated 1inch.
The Web3 RPC API provides users with several advantages, including “maximal uptime.” 1inch Labs mentioned that it has created a sophisticated internal system for node health monitoring or load balancing, which facilitates the highest possible uptime. The company added that it can handle high network traffic without compromising uptime and can support 10 EVM networks.
1inch Labs indicates that the Web3 RPC API can be integrated by various types of Web3 projects that engage with EVM networks. This encompasses dApps, decentralized exchanges, and trading bots.
