Y00ts NFT Initiative Reveals Transition from Polygon to Ethereum

In an unexpected development, the well-known non-fungible token (NFT) initiative, y00ts, has revealed plans to transition from Polygon to Ethereum. This decision is intended to unite the DeGods and y00ts communities, representing a notable change in its trajectory.
Y00ts had previously transitioned from Solana to Polygon earlier this year, but the project is now making another change, this time opting for Ethereum. As part of this transition, the project will return a $3 million grant that was given by Polygon.
The official Twitter account for the project remarked, “We still love Polygon. It’s just time to unite the DeGods and y00ts communities.” Although the specific date for the migration has not yet been disclosed, the y00ts team is diligently working on the process.
Once the migration is successfully completed, y00ts will become part of the DeGods collection on the Ethereum network. Both NFT collections were originally launched on Solana in October 2021 by Rohun Vora, known as Frank. It is worth noting that DeGods had previously made the move to Ethereum in April.
Following the announcement, Frank highlighted his commitment to merging the two communities and fostering a stronger connection. He pointed out that the forthcoming Season III would focus on DeGods, while still valuing the support from the y00ts community.
The market reaction to this announcement was noteworthy. The floor price of y00ts NFTs saw a 7.2% rise in the last 24 hours, reaching 1.88 ETH. Conversely, the floor price of DeGods NFTs experienced a 4.9% decline, settling at 8.9 ETH, according to data from CoinGecko.
As per CoinGecko’s statistics, DeGods currently holds the position of the third most-traded NFT collection in terms of 24-hour trading volume, while y00ts ranks eighth.
The migration of the y00ts project from Polygon to Ethereum highlights the dynamic and evolving characteristics of the NFT landscape as projects consistently adjust to better align with their objectives and community interactions.
