The Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), a collective of community-supported core developers for Terra Luna Classic, has proposed a bug bounty initiative to reward individuals who identify and responsibly report vulnerabilities within the system. The compensation will be funded entirely through contributions to LITF from the public.

Proposal 11602 “Luna Classic Bug Bounty Incentive Program” was shared on Twitter by the project manager of the Joint L1 Task Force, LuncBurnArmy.

Addressing Increased Issues

The Terra Luna Classic development team aims to decrease the circulating supply of LUNC and USTC in the third quarter, with the intention of highlighting network vulnerabilities. Following the recent updates, numerous users report experiencing a rise in issues.

The proposal indicates that a bug bounty program would enhance network security and stability, promote collaboration and usability, and reward participants for reporting vulnerabilities. Since L1TF will be covering the bounty expenses, no special request for community funds is necessary. L1TF’s allocation plan for Q3 includes 50 million LUNC.

Additionally, all community members, external developers, and security experts are invited to take part in the bug bounty program. Participants are expected to adhere to responsible disclosure practices and comply with relevant laws and ethical standards, such as refraining from publicizing vulnerabilities and avoiding any malicious activities.

In light of recent developments, a significant portion of the community believes that network security needs to be strengthened. Conversely, the balance of the community pool fund at Terra Luna Classic has also seen a substantial decline, particularly after three requests for community pool expenditures were approved.
