Solana Founder Challenges Ethereum Community Regarding Misleading Assertions0

  • Anatoly Yakovenko has accused its competitors of disseminating misleading information regarding a crucial aspect.
  • According to Anatoly, the Ethereum community asserted that Solana has depleted its TPS.

The exchange of criticisms between the Solana (SOL) ecosystem and the Ethereum community has escalated after the protocol’s founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, charged its competitors on Twitter with propagating false information about a significant element of Solana’s performance.

Toly, as he is referred to on Twitter, raised concerns that the Ethereum community alleged that Solana has run out of TPS, a statement that, if addressed, could generate substantial FUD and adversely impact the protocol.

Solana’s founder remarked:

“It’s disappointing that individuals both within and outside the Ethereum community circulate numerous false rumors about Solana Labs. One of these is that Solana Labs has exhausted its tps. This is laughable but one that has necessitated my clarification for some team members who now understand that we possess hundreds of millions of tps and ample compute units.”

Common for Rivals

Toly expressed that he appreciates competition and would welcome participation, but only if all entities in the industry strictly adhere to the facts.

It is typical for members of competing protocols to engage in informal discussions as they strive for supremacy. The XRP community and Charles Hoskinson, the founder of the Cardano protocol, have had a contentious relationship due to their rivalry. However, since Hoskinson reconciled with the XRP community a few weeks ago, tensions between Cardano and XRP have eased.

Meanwhile, the Solana Foundation provided an update on the status of Solana’s reliability and availability on July 20th, outlining the network’s performance for the first half of 2023. The report indicated only one outage in 2023 thus far.
