Soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo underwent a lie detector examination to respond to various inquiries regarding soccer and hinted at his intentions to unveil additional nonfungible token (NFT) collections in the future.

The lie detector test footage was released as the soccer star launched his second NFT collection in collaboration with Binance. This collection debuted in July to commemorate the athlete’s status as the top goal scorer in the sport.

The video provided soccer enthusiasts with the opportunity to watch Ronaldo take the lie detector test while responding to soccer-related yes-or-no questions such as “Will Portugal win the World Cup?” and “Will you still be performing at your peak in your 40s?”

When queried about his ownership of NFTs, the athlete affirmed with a “yes,” and the lie detector confirmed his honesty. The outcome was consistent when Ronaldo was asked if he had plans to launch more NFTs in the future.

Ronaldo introduced his inaugural NFT collection with Binance in 2022 following the establishment of a multiyear partnership with the exchange. This collaboration aims to familiarize soccer fans worldwide with through various NFT initiatives. As per an announcement, the NFTs released by Ronaldo will provide fans with exclusive engagement opportunities with the soccer superstar.

In the meantime, Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho Gaúcho has been implicated in a crypto fraud investigation in Brazil. On Aug. 27, local news sources reported that the footballer did not appear before Congress regarding an inquiry into a pyramid scheme allegedly associated with one of his companies.

On Aug. 31, the soccer player finally attended a committee inquiry, refuting any involvement in a scheme that promised a 2% daily return on crypto. A lawsuit seeking $61 million in damages was filed against the company, which Ronaldinho denied having any partnership with. According to the athlete, the company utilized his likeness without permission and asserted that he was also a victim of the scheme.
