Proposal for Upgrade v2.1.0 Released by Terra Classic's Joint L10

  • This is mainly undertaken to ensure that Terra Classic remains competitive with other blockchains.
  • The v2.1.0 Upgrade proposal has been published and is accessible on the Commonwealth platform.

The proposal for the v2.1.0 upgrade of Terra Classic was put forth by the Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF) for discussion and assessment on Commonwealth. This marks one of the most important modifications since the Terra Classic community assumed control of the blockchain in May of the previous year amid the Terra-LUNA controversy.

This is mainly undertaken to ensure that Terra Classic remains competitive with other blockchains such as Terra 2.0 and various Cosmos chains. Consequently, developers and projects may once again leverage the Terra Classic infrastructure.

The v2.1.0 Upgrade proposal is open for discussion on Commonwealth — please review and provide feedback.
The proposal is expected to be voted on around June 7th, with the upgrade planned for June 14th. https://t.co/FHChp78Qva

All Set for June 14

The v2.1.0 Upgrade proposal has been published and is available for review on the Commonwealth platform, as stated on Twitter by Joint L1 Task Force (LITF) project manager LuncBurnArmy. It also confirmed that the upgrade is scheduled to proceed as planned on June 14, with the proposal set to be voted on June 7.

Edward Kim, a professor and core developer of Terra Classic (LUNC), has indicated that achieving parity is essential for the implementation of Interchain Accounts (ICA) on the network. ICA will link the Block Entropy chain of AI applications to the Terra Classic network.

In the meantime, the Block Entropy TestNet Faucet is where community members can acquire Testnet tokens. The DFLunc protocol is also burning LUNC coins to assist its users in obtaining Block Entropy testnet tokens.

At approximately 17:21:02 UTC on June 14, the Terra Classic chain will be upgraded to version 2.1.0. Both the block height and the upgrade timeline are adaptable. Prior to the upgrade, it is essential to update all nodes and validators to version 2.1.0.
